We have just updated our Instructor's Pack for the Practical Operational Finance Programme.
When companies choose to go the train-the-trainer route, they will nominate their own staff to become instructors of the programme. These instructors then undergo an intensive three day training programme, which includes going through the programme and instructions on how to present the programme.
At the end of this, they will have a comprehensive knowledge both of the course material, but also how to present the course, to maximise delegates learning and interest.
Each instructor is given a pack which includes the following:
1. An introductory letter to the instructor, explaining the layout of the programme, the timing of the course and any information relevent to the running of Practical Operational Finance.
2. A copy of the facilitator's guide, with the solutions to the case studies, discussion questions and programmed learning text filled in. This provides an easy reference for instructors when running the programme.
3. Slide notes of the slides, which facilitators can use to plan their presentation of Practical Operational Finance.
4. The mid-course revision quiz with the answers filled in.
5. Facilitator notes. These notes provide facilitators with useful stories and information that they can use to make the training course more interesting for delegates. These will includes stories such as "why the cost of electricity in South Africa is rising so quickly", "how retailers make their money through financing their operations" and other useful and interesting stories.
6. The business game. Instructors will receive a copy of the business game which is run at the end of the course as a revision. Included is a copy of the game board, and answers to all the game cards for easy reference.
Facilitators will also get a CD with additional references including the presentation in Powerpoint and Open Office formats.
Our facilitator's guide is designed to make it dead-easy for facilitators to train our programmes, and ensure that delegate have a clear and practical understanding of how to manage the operational finances of their business.
